  Locuzione la cui traduzione letterale sta a significare " fondi ad alto rendimento ". Sono fondi obbligazionari investiti prevalentemente in titoli di debitori con minore solvibilità. Tali titoli da un lato offrono interessi più alti, ma nello stesso tempo sono caratterizzati da un rischio di insolvenza superiore, infatti vi è la possibilità che il debitore non riesca a far fronte nè al pagamento degli interessi nè al rimborso del capitale preso in prestito.
